ELECTRIC BIKE RENTALS FROM TREEOSIX!

Without a doubt, the best way to explore the Cypress Hills from the forest floor is on an electric fatbike from Treeosix. With no tour guides and no requirements to stick to a defined path, you can explore the entire park at your own pace!

Our eBike rental experience combines convenience, accessibility, and extreme fun all in one big adventure. You will definitely want to throw this on your bucket list during your next visit to the Cypress Hills!

How it works

Every eBike comes with pedal assist which is a mode on an electric bike that provides power from a motor to help you pedal easier and move faster. When you turn on pedal assist and choose your level of assist (we will show you how this works prior to your rental), the motor will provide additional power output as you pedal. This may feel like a slight push as you ride.

Lastly, we have a rental fleet large enough to outfit a small family reunion (we have lots!) and all of our Treeosix eBikes are serviced by trained technicians to ensure each adventure is a safe one!

Know Before You Go

This self-guided adventure begins and ends at our basecamp.

Once you’ve checked in, we will confirm that all waivers have been completed (one for each guest, please complete these in advance of arrival), set up your ebikes, and then begin our safety briefing session which includes ebike operation as well as rules of the road.

From there, you can head out and explore the Cypress Hills at your own pace. You can ride your ebike everywhere and anywhere in the Cypress Hills that bicycles are allowed.

As your rental time nears it’s end, start making your way back to basecamp and drop your bikes off in the same place that you picked them up!

ebike models available

We have three eBike models available to rent at our site.

RadRover: Single-rider, mountain-style fatbike with 26″ tires.

RadMini: Single-rider, cruiser-style fatbike with 20″ tires.

RadRunner: One rider + one passenger (under 14 years of age), cruiser-style fatbike with 20″ tires. NOTE: All passengers must have their own CSA approved bike helmet. the total combined weight of both riders must not exceed 275 lbs. 

We match riders with suitable bikes upon arrival on a first come, first serve basis.

When booking online, you will be able to request the type of ebike model that you would like to use like during your rental.

We will do our best to save the type of eBike you’ve requested. However, all eBikes are available on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis so please arrive early for your rental to have priority over ebike model selection. 

BATTERY CHARGE DISCLAIMER

Treeosix does NOT guarantee that your battery will last for the duration of your rental.

We will provide you with a battery that is fully charged prior to your departure, however, depending on the pedal assist level you are operating your ebike at, there is the potential for your battery to be depleted prior to the end of your rental time if managed improperly.

It is YOUR responsibility to manage that battery life throughout the duration of your rental AND to ensure that you have your ebike back to the Treeosix site at the agreed upon time.

Check-In Process

Please arrive at our basecamp and check-in for your adventure in our basecamp office at least 15 minutes prior to the start time indicated on your booking receipt that you received via email.

All of our rentals must be picked up and dropped off at our Basecamp.

Participant requirements

All riders must weigh less than 275 lbs. This is the max payload capacity of all of our eBike models which is determined by the manufacturer. If you are on a two-person model, all passengers must have their own CSA approved bike helmet and the total combined weight of both individuals must also weigh less than 275 lbs. No refunds will be issued for bookings made where an individual exceeds this requirement.

All riders MUST be at least 14 years of age. This is NOT a company policy, however, it is currently illegal to operate a pedal-assist bicycle in the province of Saskatchewan if you are under the age of 14.

All riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult during their rental. As ebikes are subject to the traffic laws in Saskatchewan, all riders who are not old enough to hold a valid driver’s license must be accompanied by an adult.

Liability waiver requirements

Our waivers must be completed electronically.

All guests must sign our waiver prior to participating in our activities.

Guests under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

We highly recommend filling out your waivers in advance of arrival via the link you receive in your booking confirmation to ensure your check-in process is as seamless as possible.

Pre-Rental Damage Deposit

We require a $50.00 pre-authorization PER BIKE on a valid credit card prior to your rental departing. Upon return to our site after your rental is complete, we will inspect each bike for any visible damage that must be repaired. If repairs are required on ANY bike(s), the ENTIRE pre-rental damage deposit may be charged. If the bikes return in the same condition as when they left, the pre-rental damage deposit will be returned to your card. Please bring a valid credit card to the site with you to complete this transaction upon check-in.

Payment details

Full payment is due at the time of booking to secure an electric fatbike rental.

Electric fatbike rentals must be reserved in-person or online. We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Treeosix gift cards and Treeosix experience vouchers as valid forms of payment. Our online reservation system does not accept Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit cards. We do not store credit card information on file, physically or electronically, and do not take credit card information over the phone.

All fares and prices quoted are subject to availability. Prices are subject to change until full payment is received. Prices quoted do not include GST unless otherwise stated.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation Deadline: 4:00 PM CST, the day before your tour/rental departure.

NOTE: A 15% cancellation fee applies to all cancellations received prior to the Cancellation Deadline.

NO refunds will be issued should you need to cancel your adventure or remove individual tour spots after the Cancellation Deadline has passed. When you reserve your experience, the tour/rental spots you booked are no longer available for anyone else. We schedule guides, crew members and plan our logistics based on the number of spots we have confirmed.

Treeosix reserves the right to refuse service AND refunds after the Cancellation Deadline has passed, for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Inability to complete the activities once they have commenced.
  • Arriving with fewer guests than the number of tour spots reserved.
  • Guests weighing less than the minimum weight requirement for a particular activity.
  • Guests weighing more than the maximum weight requirement for a particular activity.
  • No shows or late arrivals for your scheduled tour/rental departure time.
  • Inappropriate personal conduct or verbal abuse directed at our crew or other passengers.
  • Arriving for your adventure under the influence of substances.

RESCHEDULING TOUR FOR A DIFFERENT DATE: You may reschedule your existing tour/rental for a different date/time within the current season (subject to availability) at anytime prior to the Cancellation Deadline, at no charge. Requests to reschedule your existing tour/rental for a different date/time after the Cancellation Deadline has passed will be refused.

REMOVING SPOTS FROM AN EXISTING TOUR: Individual tour/rental spots removed from an existing booking prior to the Cancellation Deadline, are subject to 15% of the individual tour spot total as a cancellation fee. There are no refunds for individual tour/rental spots that are removed from an existing booking after the Cancellation Deadline has passed.

SUBSTITUTING SPOTS ON AN EXISTING TOUR: In the event that one of the individuals in your group does not meet the participant requirements for the activity you’ve reserved, you can substitute another participant that does meet the requirements into the available spot at no charge, provided this can be done without delaying the tour/rental departure time.

ADDING SPOTS TO AN EXISTING TOUR: You may ADD additional participants to an existing tour/rental at anytime prior to departure (subject to availability). The additional spots will be added at the per person price received at the time the original booking was created.

ALL OTHER ACTIVITY PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE: Activity passes (including but not limited to: climbing wall, treetop drop, giant swing, disc golf, and mini-zips for kids) are non-refundable once purchased and non-transferable once redeemed.

Extreme Weather Policy

RAIN OR SHINE POLICY

We still offer rentals when it is raining out!

If you do not want to go riding in the rain, it is your responsibility to contact us before the Cancellation Deadline to request a change to your reservation. 

EXTREME WEATHER POLICY

If you feel that the forecasted weather in the area may prevent you from completing the tour as scheduled, it is your responsibility to contact us before the Cancellation Deadline to request a change to your reservation. 

Otherwise, proceed to arrive for your rental as normal (10 minutes prior to your departure time). We will wait until your scheduled departure time to make a decision as to whether your rental will depart on time, be delayed, or be cancelled entirely due to weather conditions.

In the event that TREEOSIX decides your rental must be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions in the area PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, we will:

  • Work with you to change the date/time of your rental departure OR;
  • Issue a full refund. (Please note: this will be returned to you via the original payment method. This may take up to 7 days to process depending on the payment type).

In the event that you depart on an ebike rental and return your rental early due to extreme weather conditions, no refunds will be issued.
