An Important Update from Treeosix Adventure Parks: Our Waskesiu Location Has Been Sold

After an incredible chapter in northern Saskatchewan, we have some important news to share with our Treeosix community: our Waskesiu Lake location at Elk Ridge Resort has been sold, and Treeosix Adventure Parks will no longer operate the location in the 2027 season.

We’re incredibly proud of what we built in Waskesiu and grateful for everyone who supported us along the way. We look back on our time there with a tremendous amount of appreciation and are excited to continue our adventure at our original Cypress Hills location in southwest Saskatchewan.

A heartfelt thank you to all our past guides and especially our site managers (Kelsie, Rory, and Kelvyn) who helped make Treeosix Waskesiu such a special place. From leading tours and keeping guests laughing to managing the day-to-day challenges behind the scenes, you all played an important role in building the Waskesiu adventure. Every season brought its own stories, challenges, friendships, and unforgettable memories, and we’re grateful for the hard work, dedication, and personality each of you brought to the team. Treeosix Waskesiu wouldn’t have been the same without you. Thank you for being part of our journey and helping make this chapter one worth remembering!

Lastly, a very special thank you to Arne Peterson for giving us the opportunity to bring Treeosix to Elk Ridge Resort, just outside Waskesiu Lake, in 2015. Arne recognized the specialized expertise required to build and operate a professional zipline adventure and gave Treeosix the opportunity to bring that experience to his resort.

Running a restaurant, a golf course, or a hotel each comes with its own challenges, but operating a zipline tour is a different beast altogether. It requires specialized technical knowledge, training, safety procedures, and hands-on experience that simply can’t be faked. We’ve always appreciated that Arne recognized the value of that expertise and trusted Treeosix to do what we do best.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Blaine, John, Stefan, Brian, Al, and, last but certainly not least, our dear friend Russell, for all their help, friendship, and support over the years. The people we meet along the way are often what make an adventure truly memorable, and the relationships and memories built at Elk Ridge will always be an important part of the Treeosix story.

The opportunities, experiences, and friendships that came from our years at Elk Ridge are something we will always appreciate. It’s been quite an adventure, and we’re grateful for the chance to have been part of it.
