For those of you who know us or have ever been out to play at one of our locations, you know that we have always had a yearning to do more, go bigger, and find ways to make a difference in the areas that we operate.
In February 2015, we began to throw around the idea of creating a member-based, not-for-profit foundation with a focus that is truly in line with the new goals and mission of the charitable-side of Treeosix Adventure Parks.
As such, the Eco-Adventures 306 Foundation Inc. was founded in February of 2015 with a very simple mission: to create a healthier planet and have fun in the process. To work towards this goal, we have identified four priority areas of support where our new charitable program will focus it’s donations moving forward. Here they are:
Each year at the end of the season, we make a percentage of gross revenue donation to the foundation which will give us the ability to focus on one or two major charitable, staff-driven projects each season, that are intended to directly benefit the two local areas in which we operate (Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park/Maple Creek and Waskesiu Lake/Elk Ridge Resort).
Since opening in 2010, we have donated more than $50,000 in-kind to local charities across Saskatchewan. Although, we have taken great pride in our ability to offer assistance to these groups/events, it is time that we focus on making a bigger difference to our local areas according to the priorities of support outlined in the foundation’s mandate.
Therefore, as of September 1st, 2016, all of the charitable dollars available from Treeosix Adventure Parks will be given to the Eco-Adventures 306 Foundation Inc. and used to fund staff-driven initiatives that align with the organization’s priorities.
We look forward to making the world a better place to play for you and your’s!
